INSULATED CONTAINER vs REEFER CONTAINER:
We often get calls from customers wanting prices and information
on Insulated Containers when what they really want is a Refrigerated Container.
Here are the basics on the differences between the two.
Insulated Containers are containers that have non-working
refrigerated machines in them. They serve as a “plug” on the end opposite of
the door. Insulated Containers are used
for a variety of uses when customers wanting insulated units but don’t need the
overkill of a refrigerated unit.
Reefer Units or
Refrigerated Containers are Insulated Containers with a working Refrigerated
Machine. They can maintain a temperature between -20 degrees and 75 degrees F.
Refrigerated Container Machines can be exchanged in and out of Insulated
Containers. Often exchange of reefer machine between Insulated Containers to
meet the needs of customers can be done.
